Monday, May 12, 2008

CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – DeltaWare representatives recently attended the e-Health Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, May 4 – 7, 2008.  The Annual Conference and Tradeshow, co-hosted by the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) and Canada’s Health Informatics Association (COACH), is a must attend for those involved in the health informatics community in Canada and internationally.  The event provides a variety of education and information seminars, forums, vendor exhibits, interoperability showcases, poster showcases, and networking opportunities.

“This conference provides DeltaWare with valuable insight into current health informatics’ trends and activities, standards and policies, and allows us to meet face-to-face with industry colleagues, clients and potential clients” says Mike Hennessey, DeltaWare Vice-President of Business Development. “As we see the increasing importance of modernization and improvement in the healthcare system I am confident that the e-Health Conference will continue to grow and expand, and DeltaWare looks forward to being part of this evolution.”

This was DeltaWare’s fifth year attending the event and its second year as a Bronze Sponsor. The company was once again the sole sponsor for the e-Health 5k Fun Run that kicks off the conference.  Approximately 70 people showed up bright and early at 6:30 am eager to start off the conference with a scenic run along the Vancouver sea wall.

This year’s conference was the most successful to date with over 1700 attendees.
