DeltaWare Systems Inc. Presented with Premier’s entrepreneurship Award
Saturday, January 28, 2006

Charlottetown, PE: The Innovation & Technology Association of PEI (ITAP) recently celebrated the achievements of its member companies and individuals from across the Province at the Eighth Annual ITAP Gala Awards held at The Guild in Charlottetown.

DeltaWare Systems Inc., a leader in deploying IT solutions across Canada, received the Premier’s Entrepreneurship Award. This award honors an Island company who has significantly contributed to the Island economy by establishing and maintaining a successful independent IT business. Since its establishment in 1992, DeltaWare has built a solid reputation based on customer service and attention to detail, pursuing a focused course along two lines of business, e-Health and e-Business.

“I believe this award is very much a reflection of the quality and dedication of both our management team and of our employee team,” says Ed Lawlor, President and Founder of DeltaWare.

ITAP member companies were invited to nominate an employee for the Most Valuable Employee Award. The 2006 winner was Brian Craig, for his dedicated work with On Line Support.

Sandy Peardon, Executive Director of ITAP, says these awards have become a much-coveted honor and bring with them a significant profile within the industry. “The ITAP Awards provide recognition among the nominee’s peers. They also provide great marketing potential to those doing business outside the province. With each new year, the industry becomes more competitive, thus raising the bar for new technologies and innovations.”

Island entertainers Chuck Arsenault and Albert Arsenault hosted an exciting evening as the masters of ceremony, and Terry Hatty provided music for the dance. ITAP’s Gala Awards night has become one of the premier business networking events, bringing together IT professionals, general business and public service leaders from across the province to celebrate the technology industry on Prince Edward Island.
