DeltaWare Contributes over $50,000 to 2009 Canada Games

Charlottetown - DeltaWare Systems Inc. (DeltaWare) has recently announced its contribution to the 2009 Canada Games with a $50,000 corporate donation.  This donation recognizes DeltaWare as an official sponsor of the Games at the Green Gables level.

This announcement took place today as part of the status report given at the six month out mark to the 2009 Canada Games.  Other Island companies contributing at the Green Gables level include Amalgamated Dairies Limited, Holland College, Glasgow Hills Resort and Golf Club, and Maritime Electric.

“This is a great day for the Games,” said Joseph Spriet, president of the 2009 Canada Games, “we’re delighted to welcome these Island-based organizations that recognize the importance of being a part of an event like the Canada Games that enriches the lives of young athletes in Canada by providing them with a national competition stage.”

The Canada Games is a multi-sport and cultural event that brings together the best athletes and artists in a specified age group from each Canadian province and territory. The 2009 Games will take place August 15-29, 2009 and features 18 different sports at various venues across Prince Edward Island.
