DeltaWare Appoints Peter Lawlor to Board of Directors

CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – DeltaWare Systems has announced the appointment of Peter Lawlor to the company’s Board of Directors. “This appointment represents DeltaWare’s ongoing commitment to research and development” said DeltaWare Vice-President, Vince McKenna, “Under Mr. Lawlor’s leadership DeltaWare designed the Medigent Drug Information System (DIS), the first of its kind in Canada. Mr. Lawlor has been the driving force behind the implementation of HL7v3 messaging into DeltaWare’s Medigent product, and he continues to pioneer new development approaches.”
Mr. Lawlor has been with DeltaWare since the company’s inception, sixteen years ago. As Manager of DIS and Pharmacy services, Mr. Lawlor has led the company’s DIS initiatives, developing the Medigent DIS in accordance with pan-Canadian HL7v3 standards and managing the development of the Provider Portal, a web-based application that exposes the functionality of the DIS to clinical users. Currently Mr. Lawlor is leading two major healthcare projects for DeltaWare – the Prescription Drug Program (PDP) implementation for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador (GNL), and the Pharmacy Infoway Implementation for the Prince Edward Island Department of Health.
